Waves

Insurance

United Healthcare, Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, and Medicaid are accepted. There are some plans I'm not contracted for within those insurance carriers, so please check with your carrier to find out if my services are covered.

It is the client's responsibility to check with their insurance company to find out if they have coverage for mental health treatment and what the copay or co-insurance rate is.

You can pay out of pocket; sessions are $145 for the initial, intake session and $130 per 50 minute regular session.

You have the right to pay out of pocket for services even if you have insurance (except for Medicaid clients). If any kind of provider accepts your insurance plan and you pay out of pocket, you CANNOT ask for reimbursement from your insurance company; this is insurance fraud and the provider could lose their contract with the insurance company.

What sessions are like...

We'll talk about how your homework went (yes, there's homework!) to enjoy the progress and identify barriers to completing the homework. Sometimes homework sparks the discussion for the session while other times there might be something specific you want to talk through. Throughout the session, you'll be asked questions like "what kinds of things were you telling yourself about yourself and other people?," "how do you know those beliefs are accurate?," and "what would you say to a friend in the same situation?" You'll receive feedback on ways to think about situations differently and have unhelpful thoughts called out for getting in the way of where you want to go in your life. There will be as much laughter as possible!
